Twining herbaceous liana to 15m. Farinaceous leaves & stems. Entire or 3-7 lobed mucronate leaves to 80mm x 80mm. Greenish white or yellowish flowers, calyx purple-grey outside. Inflorescence to 50mm long, up to 10 flowers in male, 1-3 flowers in female, simple or trifid tendrils to 150mm long, bracts & bracteole to 1mm long. Male flower to 13mm x 3mm including 5mm long stipe, sepals to 8mm x 2.5mm, petals to 8.5mm x 2mm. Female flower to 5.5mm x 2mm including 0.5mm long stipe, sepals to 5mm x 0.75mm, petals to 1mm x 0.3mm. Coriaceous fruit to 30mm x 17.5mm aging white with darker spots.
