Liana to 15m with white flowers & large warty caudex. Simple tendrils. Entire to 5-lobed leaves to 170mm x 180mm, whitish on reverse. Axillary inflorescence, greenish or whitish, males with 1-5 flowers, female 1-2 flowered, tendrils to 100mm, bracts & bracteoles to 1mm, sometime monoecious. Male flowers to 55mm x 2.5mm including 20mm long stipe, sepals to 30mm x 2.25mm, petals to 16mm x 2mm. Female flowers to 40mm x 5mm including 8mm long stipe. sepals to 30mm x 2mm, petals to 20mm x 2.5mm. Coriaceous 3-4 lobed fruit to 80mm x 50mm.
