Glabrous monoecious or dioecious scandent cauliflorous tuberous liana to 15m with tuber to 500mm wide. Trilobed or triparted coriaceous leaves to 50mm x 60mm. Few-flowered cymes to 70mm long with tendrils to 100mm long & minute bracts, 1-5 flowered in male, 1-2 flowered in female, bract & bracteoles to 2mm. Yellow & white flowers. Male flowers to 28mm x 2mm including 5mm long stipe, sepals to 10mm x 2mm with white petals 8mm long. Female flowers 15mm x 2.5mm including 3mm long stipe with sepals to 8mm x 3.5mm & petals to 5mm x 1.5mm. Coriaceous capsule to 130mm x 30mm.
