Large tuberous-rooted glabrous tendril liane to 10m, tubers to 600mm long, simple tendrils. Coriaceous entire or 3-lobed leaves to 140mm x 135mm with white waxy pubescence, lobes to 50mm. Greenish-yellow flowers in lax axillary racemes to 100mm long, 1-5 flowered in males, solitary in females, tendrils to 170mm, bracts & bracteoles to 1mm. Male flowers to 55mm x 4.5mm including 30mm long stipe, sepals to 22mm x 3mm, petals to 15mm x 3mm. Female flowers to 57mm x 6mm including 26mm long stipe, sepals to 24mm x 4mm, petals to 21mm x 3.5mm. Coriaceous fruit to 75mm x 30mm.
