Tendrilled glabrous canopy twining liana or creeper to 25m. Simple to 3 lobed leaves to 250mm x 190mm. Axillary corymbs or cymes to 180mm, up to 30-flowered males, 1-3-flowered females or hermaphrodite, tendrils to 200mm, bracts & bracteols to 1mm. Reddish or white flowers. Male flower to 25mm x 8mm including 12mm long stipe, calyx tube to 0.75mm wide, widening to 10mm with 5 lobes to 6mm, 5 petals with brown spots to 7mm x 3.5mm. Female flowers to 15mm x 8mm including 3mm long stipe, calyx tube to 9.5mm with lobes to 5mm, petals to 7mm x 3mm. Deep red capsule, woody outside to 120mm x 70mm.
