Woody vine or liana to 7m with tuberculate glabrate branches, glabrous leaves to 200mm x 90mm. Axillary or terminal panicles or racemes to 100mm long with 2mm long bracts & bracteoles to 1.5mm, usually 18 yellow flowers to 25mm diameter with a single glabrous frilled orange petal, 2 sepals to 4mm long, yellow petals to 11mm long with three lobes. Whitish to pale green glabrous 4-winged seeds, samaras to 35mm wide x 12.5mm, nuts to 5mm
