Large deciduous climbing shrub withglabrescent purple brown branches with white lenticels, Leaves to 150mm x 75mm with denticulate-serrulate margins mostly glabrous above & glabrescent beneath, axillary rusty-tomentose cymes of buff-yellow flowers, 5 rusty-tomentose sepals to 5mm long , petals to 10mm x 6mm, ovoid glabrous brown fruit to 25mm long, leaves with prominent veins
