Deciduous climbing shrub to 7m with reddish-brown lenticellate glabrescent branches, leaves to 85mm x 50mm tomentose on veins above becoming glabrescent, glabrous or puberulous beneath, up to 3 -flowered tomentose axillary cymes of 20mm white or yellow flowers tinged pink, 5 sepals to 4mm x 2.5mm, 5 petals to 10mm, glabrous fruit dark green to brown to 30mm
