Deciduous climbing shrub to 20m with reddish-brown glabrescent branches, leaves to 70mm x 30mm with setose-denticulate margins nearly glabrous above stellate-tomentose beneath, puberulous axillary cymes with minute bracts to 7 flowers, 10mm green flower, 5 sepals to 4mm x 1.5mm puberulous without, 5 petals to 5.5mm x 2mm, glabrous brown fruit with lenticels to 10mm x 7mm
