Large deciduous woody twining shrub to 7m, glabrescent branches. Mucronate leaves with serrulate margins, splashed pink & white to 150mm x 125mm setose or pubescent on both surfaces. Axillary puberulous up to 3-flowered cymes or fascicles with minute bracts, fragrant pendulous 20mm white or pink flowers, 5 purple-red glabrous sepals to 6mm x 4mm with ciliate margins, 5 pale pink petals to 10mm x 7mm. Fruit glabrous, yellow-green to 25mm x 12mm sweet, pale orange when ripe.

Fruit edible, juice of unripe berries used
