Large deciduous climbing shrub with lenticellate branchlets. Mostly glabrous leaves to 140mm x 65mm. 1 to 3-flowered cymes with bracts to 1mm, of 15mm yellow flowers, 5 sepals to 4.5mm, 5 petals to 8mm. Glabrous fruit red to brownish to 40mm x 30mm with persistent sepals
