Scrambling bush or woody climber to 5m with older stems glabrous & lenticellate. Coriaceous leaves to 150mm x 45mm. Axillary pyramidal many-flowered racemes to 250mm long with bracts to 5mm & bracteoles to 2.5mm, of 33mm diameter yellow flowers, calyx 5mm x 2.5mm, yellowish petals to 15mm long. Fruit twin winged to 50mm x 22.5mm
