Trailing or scrambling pubescent perennial herb with solitary axillary flowers, pink flowers with a darker centre or white, pale yellow or red with a white centre to 80mm diameter, 5 petals to 60mm long x 40mm across at top, branchlets scabrous & hirsute with long hairs, villous leaves from 30-100mm long. Vines to 2m long, tubers up to 50mm across, villous fruit a spiny capsule 30mm x 20mm
